Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and educator, Vashti Davidson-Clarke, 81, of Brooklyn New York entered into the presence of the Lord on September 22, 2021 from her home in Brooklyn. Vashti was born in Guyana, South America to Oscar and Charlotte. She emigrated from Guyana in the late 70’s with her four children. She quickly settled and started a career as an Educator in the NYC public school system and then a Librarian.
Vashti’s witness to Christ was evident in her life through service. She graced all with her beautiful soprano voice, her poise and style, her generosity, and her love. Having surrendered her life to Jesus in her teenage years, Vashti used her talents to support her family and serve the people of God. She touched the lives of countless children and families.
Vashti is survived by her three children, Pearl, Stephen, and George Jr., seven grandchildren, two sisters and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy, daughter, Abigail, Sisters, Nora and Ismay and brother, Vincent.
Her family will miss the woman they called “Queen Vashti” now that she has received her crown in glory in her Father’s blest embrace and her Spirit is clothed immortal. “We will meet you on the other side!”
