Silbourne "Clifton" Beckford , of Bronx, New York and Jointwood District, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, died on January 12, 2021.
Clifton was born on August 7, 1959 in Denbigh, Jointwood District, St. Elizabeth, to mother Gloria Beckford (née Smith) and father Dermoth Beckford.
Clifton got his early learning at the Retirement Primary School, then he went on to Maggotty Secondary School after which he was trained to do welding at the Lacovia Community Center. He later migrated to the USA.
Left to mourn are his eight siblings; namely: Hazel (Dell), Lascelles (Desmond), Yvonne, Rose, Eric, Leroy, Charmaine and Locksley; his seven Children, namely: Ducan, Garren, Dane, Donnaree, Juvoni, Tywonni and Raymond; his 10 grandchildren, his nieces nephews, cousins and dear friends
Clifton loved to play cricket and would travel all over and even to adjoining states.
He was an accomplished construction worker. He was beloved to many and kind to all.
He will forever live in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and will be greatly missed by the community.
