Mariela Alexis Miura, daughter of Richard Miura and Sonia Francis, was born on November 7, 1984 in Brooklyn, New York
“Mari”, as she was affectionately called, attended and graduated from St. Teresa Catholic School, PS 108 and Franklin K. Lane High School. She was also pursuing a degree at Phoenix online College.
Mari was employed by Unique People Services as a Medical Coordinator for over 10 years. She enjoyed working with special needs adults.
Mariela was very bold, outgoing and strong-minded. Her family and friends meant everything to her, and she loved her grandmother unconditionally. She had a gracious spirit, loyal to a fault, never intimidated or afraid of challenges. She had a tremendous zest for life. Mari loved comedy movies and fine dining.
Left to mourn are her parents; Richard Miura an Sonia Francis, step-father Elvis Sobenis, brothers: Giovanni Diaz, Richard Miura, Jr., nephews Kyoshi Diaz, Amauri Diaz; grandmother Linett Harris, aunt Hortencia Francis, uncle Armando Francis, cousins; Tamara Francis, Kevin Smith, Dante Francis, Jason Mincey, Jabri Moore along with a host of family and friends.
She has gone to join her favorite cousin, Eduardo Smith.
