Lescott “Rohan” Bailey was born in Kingstown St. Vincent, on November 16, 1973. He was the son of Mary “Agnes” Bailey and Roy Forbes. He was the last of five boys.
Lescott attended the Petersville School, Kingstown Methodist School and Emmanuel High School. Upon leaving school, “Rohan” opened a Barber Shop at our home in Paul’s Avenue. He travelled extensively to many Caribbean islands including Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, and Barbados to name a few.
In 2001, “Rohan” migrated to Brooklyn, NY. He was a quiet person, liked to mind his business, but if provoked, he was relentless. He loved Karaoke and never missed an opportunity to sing. He enjoyed reading and always tried to keep abreast of current affairs.
He worked at the New York Post and NYU Langone, which he enjoyed going to each day. He lived and enjoyed his life to the fullest.
Sometimes our home was like WWE Sport Entertainment where our mother or aunt came with a belt or broomstick and fix our wagon as they used to say.
Lescott is survived by his brothers, Ellsworth, Michael and Phillip, (Kyron—deceased), nieces, Kyana Bailey, and Britney Armstrong, in the USA, nephew Xeshawng Bailey in St. Vincent, Aunt Theresa Bailey, many family and friends. He will forever live in our hearts.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. Lovingly submitted by his family.
