Isaiah Richard Griffin was born on January 20, 2000 the first red moon of this century. He was the cherished son of Luree and Rick and the beloved brother of Nick and Dillon, and loving uncle to Khloe and Amir. He was a bright light in the lives of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
“ZAY” as he was affectionately known as, attended and graduated from the Ralph Bunche school (P.S. 132 Queens) and Eagle Academy for Young Men III. After high school, Zay had several jobs including working at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bronx Family Fortune in Jamaica, Queens, New York. He was very proud to work in these places, where he made lifetime friends and colleagues.
Isaiah’s love for life was evident in everything he did. His passion for foraging plants, cars, his love of horses, and collecting sneakers reflected his vibrant personality and adventurous spirit. Isaiah’s open heart and kind nature made him a loyal and loving son and brother, always willing to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement to those he cared about.
He was a gentle soul with a deep love for the world around him, finding joy in the small things and a sense of wonder in nature and the simple pleasures of life. Isaiah’s spirit will be remembered for his unyielding love for his family and his open heart, which touched the lives of many.
Isaiah’s memory will live on in the hearts of his mother Luree, his father Richard, brothers Nicholas, Dillon and Curtis, his extended family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will never be forgotten.
