Hilda Dulcebella Theobalds was born on October 29, 1953 in Anaco, Venezuela to Henry and Wilhemina (née Joseph) Theobalds who migrated from the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent. She was the third youngest of eight children. Hilda Dulcebella Theobalds of Brooklyn, New York, made her transition on May 16, 2021 at the age of 67.
In her pursuit of happiness and interests in art and fashion design, she left Venezuela in 1973, came to America and landed in New York. She later started a family and became a mother to three amazing sons.
Hilda worked as a Bookkeeper, a Spanish translator, and a Medical, administration assistant. Many years later, Hilda’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to starting her own daycare business, Hilda’s Daycare, which she operated for over 20 years. Her creativity was shared with the children, along with her passion for warming hearts and filling bellies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry C. Theobalds, Wilhemina Theobalds, and her brothers: Rudolph Theobalds, John Theobalds and Jose Theobalds
Hilda Theobalds is survived by Her sons, Arnoldo Theobalds, Calvin Theobalds, & Michael Theobalds; Brother, Juan Theobalds; Sisters, Marilyn Theobalds, Benicia Springer, Josefina Marin, Monica Liburd, Pearl Polanco, Linda Deriggs; Grandchildren, Jaelynn Theobalds, Peityn Theobalds, Mia Theobalds, Parker Theobalds, Madden Theobalds, Maverick Theobalds, many nieces, and nephews.
